Who We Are
The Sierra Club is a grass roots organization whose mission is to explore, enjoy and protect the planet. The San Diego Chapter features a number of different sections including a political section, conservation section, outings section (which includes the bus trip section, wilderness basics course, cross-country ski section, bicycle section, social section, leader training and hiking programs), photography section, family section and more.
Our trips are led by experienced Sierra Club Chapter Outings Leaders who have training in leading trips, group management, land navigation, backcountry skills and wilderness first aid.
Since 1982, more than 7000 people have participated in the Sierra Club San Diego Bus Trip Program.
If you are interested in becoming for a Leader for the Bus Trip Program, we’d love to connect with you.
